Open Toe Compression Hose

"The jury is still out on these hose. The bottom hem at the toes wrinkles up several inches above the hem line and is visible in my sandals. So I have to decide which is worse: the wrinkles above the toes or the appearance of closed toe hose when wearing sandals."

Thigh high

"Feel good and much easier to get on than I thought they would be."

Doesn't cause any rashes! Doesn't slip! 1 flaw

"I'm allergic to medical adhesives, so I can't use that very effective roll-on adhesive called "It Stays" (It gives me a rash). Thus, compression that doesn't slip is VERY important to me. I bought these Sigvaris Essential Opaque thigh-highs with the silicone dot top--NOT the lace top version--from FYL in Nov. 2025 for use following vein surgery. (I got open-toe, 20-30mmHg, size SL. ) I am thrilled that the big silicone dots keep the stockings in place beautifully, with NO slipping, even if I wear them a couple of times before washing. (I do always let them rest at least 24-48 hours between wearings. ) So I no longer need roll-on adhesives, as I did with my Jobst thigh-highs. The Jobst had silicone dots too, but they still had a strong tendency to slide down after a while. Also, I often had to wipe the Jobst silicone dots with rubbing alcohol to stop them from slipping, but I haven't had to wipe the dots of these Sigvaris at all. I love ALMOST everything about these. The one thing I DON'T like (for which I deducted one star) is the overly-tight toe band. If your feet are a bit wide, these may not be for you, and the Mediven Comfort line might be a good alternative for you. I just bought an open-toe pair of those from For Your Legs, and I find the Mediven toe-band and forefoot area are indeed more comfortable. But I do prefer the Sigvaris color and fabric (it seems easier to don and doff)."

Excellent

"Very good quality"

Unsure

"After losing weight I had to size down. I followed the size chart and ordered accordingly. Not sure if the product changed but I do not struggle to get a new pair on. Usually these compression stockings take some effort. My husband thinks my leg is more swollen now than in past stockings used. Over the course of the next few weeks I will measure morning and evening on each diffetent stocking and compare the differences in measurements."

Ellyn P. (4/5)

support hose

"The hose fit fine and with minimum effort I can get them on using the helper. however the Joebst that I also purchased are impossible to put on. Glad they were less expensive than the Sigvaris. I am happy with the Sigvaris and will continue to purchase them."

Carol L. (5/5)

thigh high toeless stockings

"Ordered a pair for use post vascular procedure to prevent washing nightly for a month. Perfect!"

Leanne S. (5/5)

I like these thigh highs.

"I like these thigh highs. I bought them years ago and then changed to Jobst thigh highs. The Sigvarus thigh highs are wider at the thigh so I have some issues with them slipping a bit. I have thin legs so it can be a challenge. They have good compression and are easy to put on and take off. They are definitely worth a try."

Poor Customer Service Response

"I recently spent too much money on a pair of compression hose that are way too big. I ordered the exact size that I use and they are worthless to me. I have emailed them and have no response. I find it rather irritating that I've spent all this money and they aren't willing to give me any service."
