For severe varicosities and ulcerations

"Having severe varicose veins throughout the entire body, these Sigvaris Secure stockings are the only stockings that keep my ulcerations at bay. I wear them from the moment I wake up until the moment I lay down. They’ve only been on the market since September 2018 so these are one of the newest stockings available in the Sigvaris line. I haven’t been able to walk in years without pain and these stockings allow me to walk pain free like a normal person. Also, the closed toe design is best for those prone to digital ulcers like myself. When wearing these, be sure not to pull from the seam where the silicone band connects to the stocking—they will rip. Pull from several inches below where there is no seam. These stockings can also be very tight around the ankle so you may want to wear a foam pad insert on top of the foot going into the ankle joint area. This is a very sensitive area that a foam insert would negate the possibility of soreness development. If you are prone to ulcers you should also moisturize the area with a water based cream and place a covering over the healer ulcer area before sliding these on as to not allow too much friction across the skin because these are very tight. These stockings and tips should help you regain a normal quality of life so you can spend less time in wound care management facilities."
