Not sheer, just shiny. Silicone dots don't hold them up.
"These were called "ultra sheer" and they are just as dense as "regular" compression stockings. This is my first pair of Jobst (I've worn other brands) & it will likely be my last. They were so tight, I could barely get them on. After finally struggling to get them to the top of my thigh, they started working their way down. By the afternoon, they were "mid-thigh highs". Yes, I followed their sizing chart."

"I was very disappointed in the hose. The Silicone dot band rolls over causing increased creasing and pinching of the leg. Even if I put hose on without any wrinkles or creases, the hose develop wrinkles at the bend of the knee immediately when sitting then standing."
