The Mediven Sheer & Soft are the sheerest medical compression stockings on the market. They are preferred four to one by compression stocking wearers. In addition to being the sheerest, independent studies found them softer and and more durable. Unlike many sheer stockings, these stockings do not utilize silicone on their yarns permitting added breathability and improved moisture regulation making them cooler and drier than the leading competition.

Perfect size

"I have been wearing compressive therapy pantyhose since 1995. My body has changed in various ways over these 30 years. I have gotten about 2" shorter, and I have lost 86 pounds (Weight Watchers). Mediven is the ONLY reputable and reasonably priced brand that comes in "petite". It fits me very well - and doesn't bunch up behind my knee like a painfully tight rubber band! I can enjoy wearing them - and not be in pain! Such a relief!"

Disappointment with support hose.

"I have worn 30-40 support hose for 20 years …. Blood clots in legs and lungs. I was so happy with sigvaris sheer style in a medium size in Honey color. To my regret Sigvaris has discontinued my size offering Ms or ML. And neither fit well. I tried both remaining sizes. So I tried the brand you are asking me to review. They are hard, very hard to get on and they wrinkle at the ankle and make a swishing noise when I walk. And the color is unattractive. Since I will also have to wear this type of hosiery, I cannot stress my disappointment with Sigvaris,"

"I have tried Mediven Sheer & Soft 20-30, 30-40, Med Plus 20-30, 30-40 and the Assure. I'm a 6'1" 60 y/o male with moderate varicose veins. All of them make my legs feel much better during and at the end of the day. The most comfortable by far is the 20-30 Sheer and Soft. I would prefer if there was a non sheer black option but I still wear them. They give good support, and don't crowd the crotch as much as the others. They also stay up nicely and wear well. I use them all - except the Assure which I didn't like at all."
